The Catholic “Bride Guide”

I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to think of uploading this little book where everyone can find it, but here we are.

This is a resource that I have compiled over the last dozen years and shared on an individual basis with many of my friends and clients. Why? Because all of these Catholic brides kept having the SAME QUESTIONS. And I’d keep seeing them making the SAME MISTAKES. Drove me crazy, a bit.

Having a good Catholic wedding isn’t hard! Finding 100% modest wedding and bridesmaid dresses that don’t need to be altered (a process that will cost you hundreds of dollars, potentially doubling the original price of each dress) really isn’t that hard, either! Search:

  • Etsy
  • eShakti
  • Dainty Jewells
  • White Elegance
  • Muslim sites
  • Orthodox Jewish sites
  • Even David’s Bridal now has a “modest” section by Oleg Cassini, at least online, that has some pretty nice options!

Modest clothing is EVERYWHERE online these days. Good quality, low prices (yes, I know trads are cheap – learned that the hard way), and there are even customization options!

Don’t settle! And for crying out loud, STOP fudging on the modesty rules! They’re very simple. They are explained with pictures at the end. They are not negotiable.

Trust me, it’s WAY more pleasant to get your dress approved by your priest on the first submission of photos than be told it needs work. Or worse, a LOT of work.

You’re welcome.
